Sherlock knitwear aims to be a sustainable eco-friendly slow fashion label.

The slow fashion idea is to buy less and choose well preferably from an ethical brand. Nicola's designs are perfect for this ethos, the designs are timeless and pieces from the start of her career still look as fresh today.

Nicola sources her wool locally from a supplier in West Yorkshire. They are set up to dye the yarn in house reducing road miles. For bridal Ivory they offer an eco-friendly bleach option to whiten the natural cream colour of the wool.

Nicola also uses reclaimed luxury yarns to reduce textiles waste. There's often not large quantities so she uses them to make a small range of limited edition accessories.

Nicola's home is very conveniently based as its within walkable distance of the Wonderfully Made shop so she can easily update stock. Her studio is a short cycle in the other direction therefore clocking up zero road miles for her daily commute!

Nicola supports local businesses for her printing, packaging & trimming.

She uses bio degradable packaging tied with pretty recycled yarns with no plastic and encourages customers to reuse the boxes. (You may also request no box if it's not for a present)

Nicola is always looking to reduce her carbon footprint as its important to her that her business does not harm our beautiful world.
